Satisfy
Finally her breath lay down on the rocks by her soft
chin and she could sleep again
with
books of love
thick as tissue-paper
a bite-pop sunrise
tears overeager
she learned
how easy it can be
to satisfy
a loaded gun

Piccadilly Circus Serenade
They dance
every twirl is
a final fling
run-down
aware
of yourself
in that dress you were once
oblivious
We just fall apart every few days
and write
bring
a song
still the world dances
to silence

Tricky
Her heart is like a busy street
constantly changing
and she knows it is
but she cannot tell him how or where
until a gun goes off
in somebody’s face
slick sliding shoes tap the floor
a drumroll of busy souls
on the earth’s pregnant skin
at night
the river is a thin black veil
for the faces of the dead
forever swimming
by morning
its just a cheap trick of
the light
